Two countries, one journey: the wild Albanian Alps and the mountain reserves of Montenegro, glacial lakes, turquoise rivers, rafting and a zipline over the Tara Canyon.
The journey begins in untouched Albania, Theth, the Blue Eye, Lake Koman and the Valbona Valley, and continues to the jewel in the Balkan crown: the Durmitor mountains, the Tara Canyon and the Biogradska Gora reserve.
Activities and Experiences
Let's dive into the plan
We land in Montenegro, pick up the jeeps and continue along a stunning scenic road to the Theth nature reserve in the Albanian Alps. Came for clear air? You got it.
An Albanian breakfast and a gorgeous view, a hike to the Blue Eye and off-road driving around the village of Theth, the mysterious watchtower and the ancient church.
A ferry with the jeeps across Lake Koman between spectacular cliffs, then off-road driving between ancient villages and beautiful forests to the Valbona Valley.
A field day in the moon valley: turquoise rivers, a spectacular waterfall, endless forests, and local hospitality over raki.
Off-road driving along a flowing river and ancient villages to Shkoder, one of the oldest cities in the world.
We say goodbye to the Land of the Eagles and cross the border into the spectacular nature of Montenegro. We climb an off-road track into the Durmitor mountains, a highland reserve with glacial lakes, stunning viewpoints, enchanting villages and ancient forests.
An off-road drive to the Tara Canyon, joyful rafting on a beautiful turquoise river, then a zipline over the arched bridge 172 meters high. After a day packed with activity we deserve some rest, a spa and quiet time.
A morning in Montenegro's loveliest nature reserve, Biogradska Gora. A walk around the lake and a climb with the jeeps through an enchanted forest with 500 year old trees. In the afternoon we say goodbye to Montenegro and head home.
